The name of the game strikes it weird for me initially as I thought it meant mini-rpg game but it makes sense when you get into the game. Pocket RPG is an adventure RPG game which involves, yes…looting. So fill ‘em pockets. You get to play 3 different character classes, Dark Ranger, Battle Mage and Blade Master. Each class is unique with their own skills and has different styles of play. One main strange difference compared with other traditional RPG games is that you don’t get to keep your experience and loot. After completing each dungeon, you start all over again however you can upgrade your skills and power-ups over the course of the game. Overall, Pocket RPG is a unique and fun action RPG game with many randomly generated dungeons to play.

Call of Atlantis is now available for the iPad where it plays a bit like Bejeweled with some adventure elements to it. The game is free to try but after a few stages, you’ll be prompted to purchase the full app. The game board is a bit small and under-utilized for the iPad which is a disappointment but the game itself deserves some merit though. The match-3 gameplay was well done which becomes more challenging and requires some strategy to it. It also has mini-games and story screens that tells about your current gameplay location.

A game that feels very much like Civilization, this is another turn-based strategy game. You start off by taking over a small settlement and then build it into a thriving society. You’ll be involved in mining resources, building barracks, maintain food supply, etc to keep your population happy, housed and well-equipped. A game that plays well on iPad with regular intervals for saving games and you get to fast-forward time when your settlers are just building and training.
