Organ Trail: Director’s Cut is a parody remake of the original classic game The Oregon Trail. Funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign, it’s currently available on both iOS and Android. The idea of the game is pretty much the same except you’re in a zombie infested world. The same retro pixel art is seen throughout the app which makes it even more hilarious. You set out on a journey with 4 of your friends looking for supplies and fending off the undead. Each town stop will let you rest, buy and sell stuff, or fix your car. As you travel around the nation with plenty of action and story, you also get to watch your party members die a slow death. Organ Trail is currently available for the iPhone/iPad($2.99) and also the Android($2.99). Check out the game trailer below:-

Being a zombie ain’t easy. They have to look for brains to eat when they are hungry and run away from the many dangerous humans that are after them. Plight of the Zombie is what that’s all about which is different from the rest of the zombie games out there. There’s 30 levels of puzzles where you need to move the adorable corpses by drawing a path for them to follow. Tapping on them will stop them for a couple of seconds. You need to plan your strategy to avoid the bad humans and snag as many brains as you can. It can be quite a challenge when you have to delegate a couple of zombies. Must say it’s pretty unique and a great looking path-drawing puzzle game.
Plight of the Zombie is currently available on Android(free) and iOS($2.99). Check out the app trailer below:-

Gameloft has released Monster Life, a cute game for the iOS and Android where you’re a monster keeper of adorable paper doll creatures. You need to raise and train up to 20 monsters and build your own custom kingdom to fend off an ancient Chaos. Battles are pretty much turn-based with a timer for each monster and once time’s up, you can attack the enemy from one-on-one to three-on-three. From time to time, your monsters will get to unleash special attacks. You’ll find that the more you play this game, the cuter it gets.
Monster Life is currently available for free on iPhone, iPad and Android. Check out the video trailer below.

Orc: Vengeance is the newest action RPG released by Chillingo where you get to experience console gaming experience on the iOS. The graphics are just beautiful with this isometric dungeon crawler where you play Rok, one of the few remaining orcs alive and must fight for his escape and defeat the Dark One. You engage enemies by just simply touching them but as more enemies gather, you’ll need to use more advanced attack moves by using other gestures like double-taps, circles, and zigzag lines. You can customize your character and equip him with a wide arsenal of weapons that you either purchase or pick-up like two-handed battle axes, swords, war-hammers, etc. With a great soundtrack, excellent graphics and controls, Orc: Vengeance is a definite app to get. This is a universal app that works on both the iPhone and iPad. Check out the trailer below:-
Justice League is finally out for the iOS and it definitely looks pretty cool. This 3D game lets you play 5 different characters such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and Green Lantern. Each hero has 12 skills and 5 different suits to power up. You’ll get to battle through 4 chapters with formidable foes like Lex Luthor, Joker, Killer Croc, Ares, Sinestro, Gorilla Grodd, etc. You control the hero via the on-screen directional joystick on the left and one-button smashing and extra buttons for special moves on the right. It gets pretty repetitive but you’ll probably not mind if you’re a fan of Justice League. This is a universal app that will work for the iPhone and iPad. Check out the video gameplay below:-
If you’re old enough to have read Mad magazine then you will probably recognize these black and white spies. Spy vs Spy is now available for the iPhone and iPad where you get to switch between the 8 bit retro graphics mode or a new modern look. Your aim is to find all the hidden items like cash and keys around the embassy and board the plane before your opponent. If you happen to be in the same room as your enemy, you’ll enter a little combat mode with your opponent. There’s also online and local multiplayer mode to get you pitting against your friends. Inspired by Fruit Ninja gameplay style, instead of slicing fruits this new game for the iPhone and iPad lets you slice up your boss. The setup is at the office as you would expect and you see that typical half bald bad ass boss coming at you. You gain combo points by slicing up your boss into multiple small pieces in mid-air. So yes, it can be quite brutal. Apart from bosses being tossed around, you can collect some radioactive drink which will let you unleash a pretty impressive matrix style slow-motion mode that lets you slash and cut with more accuracy.
At first glance, it’s pretty interesting to see the 3D backdrop scenes keep changing to take you around the office but I realise it’s doing the same thing for each level. Synergy Blade is a nice change from slicing tomatoes and zombies but it would’ve been good if you could upload your boss’s face. One to get if you’re feeling frustrated with your mean boss and want some harmless battering but make sure you don’t get caught. Check out the trailer below:-
Pocket Minions is another tower-building game that has just been released for the iPhone & iPad. Instead of building and enhancing a single tower, you need to build a series of towers that will keep your minions happy and let you battle with dragons. You need to work your minions day and night and I probably sense their excitement when the dragon does come instead of it being a threat. Your minions will help produce whatever they are supposed to do and you’ll need to collect the items every minute or so. You also need to keep your peasants happy like getting a maid in to clean the toilets or get a craftsmen to build a new floor. When the dragons attack, you need to have your barracks ready and you can drag your guards to the rooftop to defend the tower. One problem with the game is that each individual character is so small that you’re gonna have a hard time picking them up. Check out the gameplay below:-
