Here’s a game for those waiting for the impending doom of 2012 if what the Mayans say is correct. The End App is an endless runner game for the iPhone & iPad where the setting is as you have guessed, in a post apocalyptic atmosphere. It sounds grim but the scenery is pretty colorful with rusted cars and flaming barrels. The 3D graphics looks pretty good and you maneuver the character left or right by tilting the device. Swipe up to jump and swipe down to glide. Your objective is to collect duct tape and buy stuff for your survival camp. There’s also more than 100 levels for you to explore. Fans of the original Tap Tap Revenge will be interested in this new free app for the iPhone & iPad called Tap Tap Revenge Tour. The main Tour mode lets you play an opening, supporting and headliner act in a new city every day. You basically get a new challenge every day. The game is free to download and you get to download a free song every day apart from the premium songs that you can purchase in the app. Most of the stuff is retained from the original game except it’s more polished and there’s even a slice gesture you can do besides the regular tap.
Definitely a fresh take on the game and best of all it’s still free. Check out the game trailer below:-
Rovio, the makers of the legendary Angry Birds has released its second new title with Amazing Alex. It features more than 100 levels of physics puzzles and you can even create your own levels and share them with others. Alex is a kid filled with wild imagination who uses anything in his house like a skateboard, scissors and baloon to create a chain reaction to get things done. You get to give your most creative solution to his problem like helping him clean up his room or just having some fun in his backyard.
You basically setup objects to bounce, pop, fly to capture all the possible stars. There’s definitely more than one solution to solve the puzzle. You can download the iPhone version for $0.99 while the HD iPad version is $2.99. Check out the gameplay trailer below:-
Don’t have super powers but wished you could still save the day? Here’s one app for the iPad that lets you rescue lives and eliminate terrorists. Developed by a German company, Emergency lets you manage rescue missions for 13 different scenarios like a plane crash and even a meteor disaster.
Gameplay wise is a bit restricted in what you can do as you need to do things in a sequence. For instance in a train accident scenario, you’ll first need to first treat the train driver, then transport him to the ambulance and then drive him to the hospital. The faster you finish your tasks, the more points you get. You get to command up to 18 different rescue units like the fire truck and rescue helicopter. Looks like a decent game with decent graphics but a bit pricey selling at $3.99. Check out how the game plays from the video below:-
