Slash Or Die as the title says it all is an iPhone and iPad game for non-stop slashing action fans. It’s a platform game that has the hero called Blade running endlessly as he slashes his way from his enemies. It’s not just mindless slashing as there’s a storyline involved with comic style cut-scenes. Blade is an immortal swordmaster who’s locked to a mountain till enemy invasion forces him to come out. There’s 24 levels of hack and slash which can be short as it’s not too complex for each level. You can control the character to slash from the front or back and there’s a timing-based combo system to inflict more damage. Upgrade your character’s stats as he grows stronger with each level and you also unlock special abilities.

Dead Trigger is a first person shooter that lets you send zombies sprawling in pools of blood. The story begins in 2012 where a strange virus has swarmed mankind and turned them into the undead. You basically need to survive the whole zombie apocalypse. The 3D graphics are pretty awesome with lots of detail but it’s a pretty basic point and shoot game. The more accurate you are with your shots, the higher your score. There’s weapons for you to purchase without real money but it’ll take hours of playing to even get something decent. Worse part, most of it requires in-app purchase. Nevertheless, Dead Trigger is a decent game that gives you 40 hours of gameplay for $0.99.

Dragon Evolution has just released a free version for the iPhone & iPad after its initial paid debut a few days ago. Dragon Evolution looks really like a game called Patapon which I played on the PSP a few years back. Evil tribesmen have been stealing eggs from the a dragon and it needs to crush the evil tribes to regain the eggs. When you start the game, you get to choose one out of 8 elements like Fire, Ice, Venom, Eyes, Tail, Fang, Wing and Heart. Depending on the element that you choose, it will give different attacks and also changes the appearance of the dragon.
After that, head off to breathe fire on those tribesmen and retrieve those eggs. It’s an auto-scrolling game with RPG elements which makes it more engaging. Great artwork and soundtrack also adds to the fun.

Fibble is a physics ball-rolling game that’s released for both the iPhone and iPad. The story begins with space explorer Fibble and his friends who crash landed in a house. They are separated from each other as they explore the mysterious house. There are 30 levels in 4 rooms for Fibble to roll about. The game plays like a mini golf course where you need to launch Fibble in the right direction to collect as many coins before reaching the end in a cup. The 3D graphics look good but the whole experience can be quite short with the 30 levels being relatively easy. Gameplay is enjoyable and should be a hit with the kids.
