While all the focus is on the iPhone App Store, Nokia happens to also have a blog dedicated to show the success of its own Nokia Ovi Store. You can check it out at this link here. Here are some of the recent successful apps:-
It didn’t mention the total downloads for this app which is priced at USD2.29 but the lite version has been downloaded more than 1 million times. Developed by Offscreen Technologies, specializing in high quality touch-optimized apps for Symbian and Maemo touch devices, is a prolific developer with over 50 apps, games and ebooks on the Ovi Store to date. The response from consumers has been overwhelmingly positive, with titles downloaded more than 34 million times in over 200 countries.
This seems to be a free app. A mobile music tool for creating instant, randomized playlists based on users’ moods or favorite songs. Developed by Syntonetic, Playlist DJ was a finalist in the Music App category in the Ovi Daily App blog’s Must-Have App of the Year Awards. It was downloaded by over one million users in 200 different countries, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe, since September 2009.
Seems to remind me of FarmVille except that this is more like farming animals. Priced at USD2.29 and also comes with a free lite version, this game has been downloaded over six million times in over 200 countries. Developed by HeroCraft Ltd, a leading mobile game developer and publishing company dedicated to producing high quality games for the U.S., European and Asian mobile game markets.
